Eurovent Middle East announces new Board leadership for 2026–2028
Dubai, 8 October 2026 – Eurovent Middle East has elected its Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 term, reaffirming its leadership team while welcoming two new Board members. The election took place during the association’s Annual Meeting in Dubai on 8 October 2026.
Andrea Cavalet, Regional General Manager of EPTA Middle East, has been re-elected as President, while Morten Schmelzer, Head of Group Public Affairs at Systemair Group, continues as Vice-President.
Joining the Board are Alexander Abrass, Head of Sales, Danfoss Climate Solutions, and Andrea Paltrinieri, General Manager, LU-VE Middle East. They fill two vacant Board positions and bring additional expertise from across the regional HVAC&R industry.
The Board for 2026–2028 further consists of:

- Pieter Jan Dewulf, General Manager, Baltimore Aircoil Middle East
- Marco Duarte, General Manager, ebm-papst Middle East
- Dani Elamana, Projects and Technical Director, Camfil Middle East
- Fred Penhall, Managing Director, CAREL Middle East
- Morten Schmelzer, Head of Group Public Affairs, Systemair Group
- Francesco Scuderi, Borne Board Member, Eurovent Association
- Lubna Shaikh, Head of Business Development, Trosten
Together with the two newly elected Board members, the re-elected leadership provides Eurovent Middle East with a strong combination of continuity, industry expertise and renewed perspectives as the association enters its next phase of development.
A key milestone during the new Board’s term will be the 10th anniversary of Eurovent Middle East in 2027. Established in 2017, the association has grown into an important platform for the HVAC&R industry in the region, supporting its members and stakeholders through industry guidance, advocacy, technical expertise, education and certification.
Andrea Cavalet, President of Eurovent Middle East, said:
