Dubai, 8 April 2020. Several governments around the world have imposed shutdowns of non-essential businesses as part of the measures to contain the COVID-19 outbreak. In some countries, this includes manufacturers, suppliers and service professionals of HVACR equipment. Eurovent Middle East, along with other international industry organisations have published a Position Paper to warn of severe consequences to critical infrastructure if the supply and servicing of HVACR equipment is halted.
Eurovent Middle East has published its Annual Report of 2019, looking back on its activities in its third year of existence. Started in January 2017 with 22 members, the association has grown to currently 46 members and in 2019 implemented dedicated working groups for technical and regulatory issues for Cooling, Air Treatment, Refrigeration and Evaporative Cooling. From 2 to 5 October 2019, the Eurovent Association, Eurovent Middle East, and Eurovent Certita Certification are going to be at ISK-SODEX 2019 – one of the largest international exhibitions for HVACR, Pumps, Valves, Fittings, Water Treatment, and Insulation. Eurovent will be at your disposal for requests concerning legislation, standardisation, certification, and general industry developments.
Eurovent Middle East has announced the next event forming part of its ‘HVACR Leadership Workshop’ series, which will focus on specifying Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and takes place at the Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre on 11 September 2019 from 18:00 to 21:00h. The non-commercial, free-of-charge seminar will see leading industry experts in this field elaborate on key technologies and specifications to reduce energy consumption in existing and future buildings.
Representatives of ISKID (Turkey’s Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Manufacturers’ Association) and Eurovent signed an agreement to jointly organise the 2020 EUROVENTSUMMIT. They announced that the next edition of Europe’s major gathering for Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies will take place in Antalya, Turkey, from 22 to 25 September 2020.
The HVACR sector, an industry of significant value to the Turkish economy, will again come together at ISK-SODEX between 2 and 5 October 2019 in Istanbul. The exhibition aims to facilitate new commercial cooperation opportunities between Turkish manufacturers and delegations from the European Union, Africa, and South America. Eurovent is an official supporter of the event.

Seville, 25 September 2018. The ‘Welcome Reception by the Eurovent President’ saw the official opening ceremony of the 2018 Eurovent Summit in Seville, Spain. Through a ribbon-cutting session, the Eurovent President Naci Şahin, the organisers and the representatives of Summit supporters have welcomed close to 500 high-ranking guests from Spain, Europe and beyond to Eurovent’s biennial flagship event. The evening was opened with an official speech by Naci Sahin, which can be read below.
