Eurovent 1/11: Fans and System Stall: Problems and Solutions

It is the intention of this publication to describe these various phenomena, to suggest ways in which they may be detected and avoided or reduced in their severity, and to describe how any remaining effects can be evaluated for predicting the impeller life. In this connection, it is important to note that in performance tests conducted with standardised airways, the stall may not always be apparent. Other means of detection may therefore be necessary.
